Andrea Ballerini

Since joining Panakes Partners in 2021, Andrea is supporting the venture capital team across deal sourcing, due diligence, and strategic investment in new therapeutics. His work includes in-depth technology, market, and competitive analysis, as well as a focus on assessing unmet medical needs.

Andrea brings experience in pharmacology and drug development, both in preclinical and clinical research, plus expertise in nanotechnology design and development refined during his postdoctoral fellowship at the Houston Methodist Research Institute.

Prior to Panakes, he served as a project manager at BiovelocITA, a leading biotech accelerator supported by Sofinnova Partners, where he focused on seed funding groundbreaking innovations developed by Italian scientists.
