Mauro Magnani

Mauro Magnani is Professor hemeritus of Biochemistry at the University of Urbino, past President of the
Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, past President of the Consorzio Interunicersitario per
le Biotecnologie (CIB). Member of the scientific committee of BIOGEM Scarl, Chair of the Scientific Advisory
Board of Quince Therapeutics and member of the administrative council of Fondazione Giovanni Lorenzini.
Founder of several start up including Diatheva SrL actually Scientific Director and board member (2002),
EryDel SpA (2007) now Quince Therapeutics.
Member of the National Committee for Biosafety, Biotechnology and Life Sciences, Presidency of the Italian
Government, Italian Delegate at the EC Economy Security Strategy (Ad hoc Group Meeting on Risk
Assessment of Biotechnologies) 2023-2024; Italian Delegate OECD Synthetic Biology Expert Focus Group
